How to Decode a DVD Player - SONY Brand?

Hi,

I brought a SONY DVD Player in Canada; Model no. DVP-NS63P. After then, I brought some DVD Video from Far East ( Hong Kong ) during the summer Holidays. But found that the DVD Video can not read and Play those DVD which I bring back from Hong Kong . As I know that the DVD Video has their own code for their own Country, this maybe the main problem that my DVD Player can not read those DVD Video from Hong Kong.

Under such status, can someone else tell me how to Decode the SONY Player - Model DVP-NS63P; and let it be free to read any kind of Codes of DVD.

Thanks for your information and solution.

Just BEWARE about hacking a DVD player or any other product. You are entering service menus that are ment to fix the player. Changing the wrong code could have you ending up with a doorstop instead of a dvd player.

How can I get my sony dvd-player region free?

I have a Sony DVP-NC85H DVD/CD player and since I'm from Europe, but live in US now, how can I make the player play my old dvds or even the new ones I wanna get with my national language? I saw this dvd program that would unregion my player, is it true or just a hoax? Thanks a lot!

Just did a quick Google search for multi region hacks for this player and it seems there isn't one for this model.
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Sony+DVP-NC85H+multi+region+hack&meta=

So playing US discs on it seems not to be an option as it's probably locked to whatever region it's originally sold in.

As for any software that claims to unlock the player, I don't know, but if it's something you pay for I'd be sceptical. Usually multi region hacks are simply a certain code input via the remote by pressing certain buttons in order. Not heard of any software solution before.

How is the product Sony DVD player DVP-NS608P ?

Am planning to buy a DVD Player. Can anybody tell me how good the Sony DVP-NS608P model is ? I couldn't find any review for the product in the net. Has it got USB connectivity ?

Sony-DVP-NS608P/S
Rs 3,200/-
This single disc DVD player can also play CD/MP3/ WMA/VCD/DivX (MPEG 4) and JPEG disc. player features 12 bit/108 MHz video DAC and 24 bit/96 kHz audio DAC. has Analog Audio 2ch Output (L,R), Dolby Digital and DTS sound output. Additionally this player is coupled with Sony’s Precision Drive 3 and Dynamic tilt compensation system (laser automatically adjusts to achieve accurate read out).

this one is a good choice and great value for money, good performance and durability.

Sony dvd player is very nice and it has some excellent features, thanks

Is it possible to connect speakers of a home systems' to an existing DVD player of same brand, SONY?

I have a SONY DVD player. Is it possible to get only the speakers, which comes along the home system and connect it to the player, will it have the same effects as the home system set. Or will there be any difference while doing so?,

If so what are the components to get along with the speakers, i.e., woofer or similar one, any idea?

Speakers will not work without an amplifier (unless they are 'active' speakers, with built-in amplifiers).

A DVD player does not have an amplifier,

You will need to buy an a/v (audio visual) amplifier plus speakers, or a 'home theatre-in-a-box' system in order to be able to hear anything.

You need an amp, pre-amp, DVD player and speakers to make that system work. If you hook the speakers up to the DVD player, you will not hear anything or what you hear will be very distorted with very little volume. Hook it up the way the manufacturer tells you to. If you hook it up the wrong way, you could burn the entire system out.

you Can hook the audio out on the DVD player to the audio in (aux, aux2,CD,Phono) of a regular stereo system and use it that way but unless it is a "home theater in a box" type thing you can't hook just speakers to a DVD player, you will not get any sound

How do I hook up a set of 2.1 logitech pc speakers (two speakers and sub) to a Sony DVD player?

My Sony dvd player already has two big speakers and a big sub (used to have two small speakers with it but they broke), my high school grad is coming up at the end of the year and I want the music to be extra loud therefore connecting my pc speakers to the sound system seems like a good idea. How do i hook the pc speakers up to the dvd player? Thanks

Well, on most DVD players there should be a headphone jack that you can plug your speakers into. By the way, the "headphone" jack isn't just for headphones, it's really just a typical audio-out jack. From the looks of what the player could run before, it should have more than enough power for the computer speakers.

they make adapters and splitters try http://www.monoprice.com

is anyone can help me to find a sony DVD player that has a ZOOM effect?

i need not too much expensive, other brands of dvd player that has a zoom effect i accept, but it is very good if i got a sony, coz my entertainment showcase was all sony brand.
thanks.

I think lots of DVD players have it, recheck your remote to see if there is a zoom button

I have a portable DVD player, Toshiba MEDR16UX
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-x18nc50NcOH/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?print=Y&g=54800&id=detailed_info&i=052SDP1800

the remote that comes with it has the zoom button

I'm pretty sure that most Toshiba's have ZOOM buttons

I need to find a replacement remote control for my Sony DVD Player.?

I am looking to buy a replacement remote control for my Sony Surround Sound DVD Player. The remote control model number is RM-ADU005. I have searched the internet but have been unable to find a replacement. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

try http://www.ebay.co.uk or .com - you just might be lucky.
I bought a universal remote which works the lot.

How (and which) of these files will play on a Sony DVD player?

I've got some AVI files, and I REALLY want to get them on a DVD. I can also get them in MP4, 3PG and FLV, but as I understand only AVI files even remotely work. Is there a way to convert them into a readable DVD file that I can play on my Sony DVD player, for free?

How do I tune in my Sony DVD player to my Virgin Media box?

I have an 80g recordable Sony DVD player and can't tune it into my Virgin Media cable box. Have followed instructions but DVD player isn't picking up the stations.

You don't 'tune' it in. It has no tuner. You connect the two with a SCART lead and select AV1 (or whatever it's designated) on the Sony recorder to record from the Media box.

how do I connect sony DVD player to my TV?

Hey I recently bought a sony dvd palyer but i'm havin trouble connecting it. Manual said after I connected all the lines to theTV I, need to push "Input Selector" so the Tv catches signal frm dvd player but my tv doesn't have an "Input Selector" button. So even if I turn dvd player on, nothing comes up on the Tv screen... Wat am I supposed to do?? thks
thks 4 da anwer but still not workin.... help...

Your TV should have a VIDEO 1 and perhaps a VIDEO 2 available on your television and you should have one or both of these choices on your television's remote control. If you cannot find it, try scanning your TVs (not your cable box or satellite receiver) channels to below channel 1 and you should go to one of these video input channels. Also, see which inputs you connected on the back of your TV (it should say next to the connector terminals on the TV). Double-check all of your connections to make sure they all match up and -voila!

If that doesn't solve your problem, e-mail me with your TVs make and model, and I'll see if I cannot help you further to get this solved for you.

For example, the link below shows a picture of a TV that has a number of video inputs (notice the 2 basic video inputs with red, white, and yellow terminals). Unless your TV is very old, or is a very basic model, it should have at least 1 video input.

Frbiz Evaluates Sony DVD Cinema Sound DZ870W PR Newswire (press release)
Leading B2B search platforms with more than 30 B2B industry websites to its name, evaluates Sony DVD Cinema Sound DZ870W.

The Sony DAV-DZ870W includes four columnar speakers uniform in size, wall-floor placement can be used for the primary unit and rear surround-sound speakers. All exterior components are black with silver, and coupled with the long, slim size, it is easy to integrate the style into any home design.

The center speakers are very thin and can even be placed on top of flat-panel TVs or on the TV cupboard and will not take up much space.

DZ870 offers a built-in DVD player, digital power amplifier circuits, sound control system, AM/FM radio, USB playback systems, and a wireless transmission function. While the volume is no different from ordinary DVD disc players, the remote control design fits Sony's style; the function is rich, and most of the operations do not need the on-screen information display to be completed.

DZ870 is equipped with S-AIR, so it can be placed virtually anywhere. It's two transceivers are inserted through the slot host and surround amplifier, complete with automatic matching, which does not require any debugging and will work automatically. Of course, wireless surround-sound still needs an amplifier power supply and independent power switch, which allows users to easily control it. Even if the user forgets to turn off the system, and it receives no signal, the system will automatically enter standby mode. Surround-sound amplifiers and the wiring card are concealed under the closed hood, which makes for a tidy appearance.

The surround-sound headphone jack on the amplifier has 5.1-channel auto-cut into 2-channel headphone outputs. Headphone cables can be directly inserted into the S-AIR Surround amplifier without the need for the host to connect to the home theatre, eliminating unnecessary cords.

DZ870W, as the latest generation of DVD theatre system ( http://frbiz.com/catalog/17000000/home_appliances.html ), has a mainframe equipped with HDMI output interface, which can output DVD, 480i video signal, 1080P formats, and can fully optimize images. If part of the digital functionality isn't ideal with the independent AV amplifier, Sony's ES series of high-end independent amplifiers also has a wide range of praise; a variety of environmental sound modes and night mode fully reflect this advantage.
